SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP
The retreat will be led by Chief Matsini from Mutum Village, together with his wife Manxivake, his son, Tuikuru and other representatives of the Yawanawá people.
Matsini is one of the first Yawanawá to reach the highest spiritual initiations after the period of religious domination in their territory. Today, he guides the younger generations in reviving their pride, spiritual strength, and cultural flourishing.
Uni Retreats is also a living manifestation of the Indigenous prophecies of reconnection between the Native Nations of North and South America.
Akasha proudly hosts Wakia Un Manee, Lakota Sun Dance Chief, as a permanent leader who guides the Inipi (sweat lodge) ceremony and shares Lakota teachings during our retreats.
